If you are looking for a function room hire in Newcastle then look no further. At Hunter 294 we have sophisticated spaces to suit a range of events such as corporate events,  workshops, meetings, seminars, school formals, trade shows, exhibitions and even wedding receptions.

Our function rooms offer unique views of the famous field and surrounds of McDonald Jones Stadium and provide inclusive meeting and event facilities within the Corporate Level and all of our facilities are accessible by lift, with direct entry from the main car park available in the Western Grandstand. As well as our unique function spaces our venue offers a number of facilities ideal training sessions and workshops. Our ground floor multi-purpose spaces are accessible from the car park, providing easy access for small groups looks for a simple room for the day.

Some popular uses for our rooms include:

  • Broadmeadow Room:
    • Ideal for large conferences, plenary / keynote addresses, banquets and luncheons for up to 300 guests
  • Lambton Room
    • Perfect for small boardroom  meetings or theatre style break out for up to 20 guests
  • Kotara Room
    • A multi use space which can accommodate boardroom, cabaret, theatre or u-shaped configurations and still provide enough room to sit for lunch

Our function rooms are available for hire year round, and can be supplemented with AV Hire, depending on the individual needs and requirements of your function, meeting or event.

Catering and hospitality services are all available on site, with menus and dishes available for every style of event.

Our dedicated events team will work with you to assist in making the most of our rooms and ensuring every element of your event works cohesively and that the day run smoothly. All of our meeting rooms are available for inspection weekdays between 9am – 5 pm by appointment, contact us to arrange a viewing
